Our Challenge
Provide a clean energy solution on a very congested roof on a new industrial building.
Provide a clean energy solution on a very congested roof on a new industrial building with limited structural capacity due to mechanical equipment. The design of the building had to look good and be designed with cost as a priority. A gas line was installed after the design of the array was approved, so Inferno has to re-work the design to accommodate the line.
Our Solution
We installed a 168-panel solar array that’s aesthetically pleasing.
We designed and installed square shapes to reduce the weight of the solar array while leaving sufficient space around rooftop mechanical equipment. We installed a 168-panel solar array that’s aesthetically pleasing. We had to re-design the layout to accommodate the mechanical that was already on the roof.
Our design also provides up to 25% of the tenant’s electricity needs each year, helping offset carbon emissions, attract new customers and employees, and differentiate the business.
We use the latest solar panels available on the market that allow the bottom half to be shaded and the top half to still produce. This will assist in increasing annual generation during the winter months.
We provided a customer-owned meter and monitoring solution, accessible via a webpage, to view building electricity usage and solar production live.
Finally, we provide a promotional video of the final product to the customer for use in their own advertising and marketing. Inferno was responsible for all design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
