Our Challenge
Provide electrical conduit pathways for a future EV Charging facility
This project has similar requirements to a new subdivision. The site will feature 1,000 Level 3 chargers, and the construction required over 80,000ft of conduit, 80 pre-cast vaults, 500 cubic meters of concrete to encase the piping, pathways for fibre optic cabling, and 97 light standards.
The timeline of this project was extremely aggressive – 3 months in total with close coordination with the paving contractor and end-user. It was also the rainiest summer on record. An EV job on this scale has never been done, so the details were very vague and there were many hours of research, design and pricing iterations. And to top it all off, a global pandemic!
Our Solution
A unique and challenging project, ultimately delivering it on time and on budget
We rapidly scaled up manpower, equipment, and subcontractors to tackle this unique and challenging project, ultimately delivering it on time and on budget. The timeline for the project would not allow for all charging stalls to be fed underground, so we came up with a solution to feed above ground and minimizes the physical space required for cabling and charging pedestals.
Inferno Solar was responsible for all design, procurement and construction of this project.
