Our Challenge
Reduce customer electricity & demand billing charges with clean energy.
Because the BB Distribution project is on the same building as our Freudenberg project, we found similar challenges. Firstly, the building structure has a limited capacity for solar Secondly, it has a lot of HVAC equipment. Thirdly, it has a membrane roof with highly compressive insulation.
Our Solution
Analyzed the customers’ electricity meter data and provided tips for equipment scheduling to eliminate large demand spikes.
We helped to meet the Corporate Social Responsibility mandate cost-effectively! Just north of the Freudenberg project, this addition meets 60% of the tenants’ electricity needs each year. That’s a pretty substantial impact! This simultaneously helps offset carbon emissions, attract new customers, and differentiate their business.
This project qualified for Emissions Reduction Alberta (ERA) Energy Savings for Business (ESB) program.
ERA/ESB provided 25% of project cost. Inferno Solar quarterbacked the rebate process on BB Distribution’s behalf, just like we do for all qualifying clients.
