The Parks – Downtown Edmonton Solar Installation

Located at 10135 108 Street NW in the heart of downtown Edmonton, The Parks stands out not only for its modern design but also for its commitment to sustainability. This technically demanding rooftop solar installation was engineered for durability and precision—built to perform in challenging high-rise conditions 39 stories above the city.

The 26 kWDC solar system integrates seamlessly into the building’s energy network, with all power generated used directly on-site to reduce emissions and enhance long-term efficiency. Structural reinforcements were carefully engineered to withstand significant wind uplift, supported by 243 anchors and 972 fasteners.

This installation also helped the developer qualify for CMHC MLI Select financing, acknowledging the project’s measurable energy and carbon reduction benefits.
