Alberta Electric System Operator (AESO) just released their “Small Distribution-Connected Generation Resources in Alberta” report for February (which you can read here).
It reveals some encouraging information about the growth of rooftop solar over time in Alberta!
This graph shows an exponential rise in microgeneration sites across the province, with sites rising from less than 3,000 to over 32,000 in just a few years.
The vast majority of these micro-generators are businesses using a rooftop solar array to offset their energy costs.

Through Inferno, you can join The Solar Club, a program where microgenerators (i.e. small-scale local electricity production using solar panels) can sell their excess energy back to the grid during peak hours. It shows up as credits on the bill, meaning zero-dollar or negative energy costs, plus extra money that can offset higher bills during our cold and dark winters.
It’s time for your business to take a step toward energy independence. Call Inferno Solar today.
